「從速追究政府監控立法會議員」聯署聲明

近日發生許智峯事件，起因是政府監控議員，侵犯立法會議員私穩。根據《基本法》，立法會有權責監察政府，議員的權力必須受到尊重。故此，
1. 我們強烈譴責政府監控議員行徑可恥，要求立法會即時追究事件的來龍去脈，不應只追究許智峯議員，轉移視線。
2. 立法會議員過往亦曾出現嚴重問題，如報假學歷、干預調查、在公開場合教唆殺人等，我們要求立法會議員同樣嚴厲地譴責並追究責任，以還議會尊嚴。

Protest-Against-Surveillance-of-Legco-Members
We believe that the underlying cause of  the recent incident related to Mr. Hui Chi-Fung is the offensive surveillance of Legislative Council (‘Legco’) members undertaken by the government which violate the privacy of these members. According to the Basic Law, Legco has both the right and the responsibility to monitor the government. It is on this ground that the rights of its members should be treated with the utmost respect.

Therefore, we issue the following statements:

1. We strongly condemn the surveillance undertaken by the government as shameful acts and request immediate investigation into the matter by Legco. Mr. Hui Chi-Fung should not be the only person held responsible for the incident. Bias against him would be seen as diverting the public from the truth.
2. Incidents of severer nature did happen among Legco members in the past. To preserve the dignity of Legco, we insist that cases like producing fraudulent academic credentials, interfering with investigation and soliciting to commit murder should be condemned and pursued by Legco members with the same, if not greater, degree of seriousness.
