FKA Twigs對廣告被禁的回應

廣告被禁後，FKA Twigs在社交媒體 Instagram上表示：「我看不到他們給我的那個『刻板的性對象』。我看到的是一位美麗而堅強的有色女性，她的身體克服了比你們能想像的更多的痛苦。在回顧其他類似性質的廣告活動，無論是過去還是現在，我都不禁感到這裡存在一些雙重標準。所以明確地說，我為我自己的身體感到驕傲，將我用自己的軀體創造的藝術視為Josephine Baker、Eartha Kitt和Grace Jones這樣的女性標準，她們打破了成為自主的樣子，並擁有獨特的實質感。」

“I do not see the ‘stereotypical sexual object’ that they have labelled me. I see a beautiful strong woman of colour whose incredible body has overcome more pain than you can imagine. In light of reviewing other campaigns past and current of this nature, I can’t help but feel there are some double standards here. So to be clear, I am proud of my physicality and hold the art I create with my vessel to the standards of women like Josephine Baker, Eartha Kitt and Grace Jones who broke down barriers of what it looks like to be empowered and harness a unique embodied sensuality.”
